The wine Pinot Bianco by the Ronco Dei Folo estate
The Pinot Bianco from Tenuta Ronco dei Folo comes from 100% Pinot Bianco grapes sourced near Prepotto in the DOC Collio region of Friuli Venezia Giulia. The estate is part of the Folonari family, known for their commitment to producing high-quality Friulian white wines that are celebrated worldwide.
THE WINEMAKING
Following a strict manual harvest, the selected grapes go to the cellar for winemaking, starting with a gentle press. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperatures. After racking, the wine ages on the lees in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then blended and bottled in the spring following the harvest. Bottles rest for a few additional months in the cellar before being released to the market.
Tasting the wine from Tenuta Ronco Dei Folo
Light straw yellow with golden reflections. The aroma presents a delicate bouquet with pleasant floral scents, giving way to fruity notes dominated by peach and apple, finishing with subtle salty hints. On the palate, it is fresh and light, with a good correspondence between the aromas and flavours, concluding with a pleasantly fruity finish and notable persistence.
FOOD PAIRINGS
This Pinot Bianco pairs beautifully with fish, soft cheeses, and white meats. It also complements omelettes well.
