THE WINE
The Muller Thurgau from the Tarlano winery comes from 100% Muller Thurgau grapes, which are grown in the vineyards owned by the winemakers who are members of the Tarlano cooperative winery. We are in Terlano in the province of Bolzano in Trentino Alto Adige; in 1893, the town’s winemakers decided to work together and founded the cooperative winery; it was a far-sighted vision, in fact, today, all wine lovers know Tarlano for the quality of its wines.
This Muller Thurgau is a fresh, elegant wine with characteristic peach and muscat notes.
THE WINEMAKING
The harvest is also strictly manual because all the vineyards are on the hills, at an altitude between 500 and 900 meters above sea level. Once in the cellar, the grapes are manually selected and softly pressed. Temperature-controlled fermentation takes place in steel tanks; the wine ages in steel vats for at least 5-7 months, and after blending and bottling, it rests for a few more months in the cellar before being placed on the market.
THE TASTING
Pale straw yellow. The aroma is very aromatic, with pleasant notes of white pepper that alternate with hints of grapefruit, leaving room for fruity puffs of ripe peach. It is very well-balanced on the palate with a marked acid note.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Excellent as an aperitif, it also goes well with fish, white meats and soft cheeses. Try it with boiled meat.
