THE WINE
The wine “Onde di Sole” (sun waves in english) of the Hibiscus winery is produced with 100% Grillo grapes grown organically in the vineyards owned by the winery; vineyards located on the island of Ustica where the soils are of volcanic origin. It is a wine that tastes of sea, heat, sun, in short, a wine that well represents Sicily!
THE WINEMAKING
The harvest is strictly manual and only the selected grapes are brought to the cellar for winemaking. After fermentation, the wine ages for about 6 months in steel and after bottling, it rests for another 3 months in the cellar before being placed on the market.
THE TASTING
Bright straw yellow. The aroma is fruity with pleasant notes of golden apple which alternate with hints of melon, scents of tangerine peel and thyme. Fresh on the palate; full-bodied and well balanced. Persistence is also excellent.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Perfect with fish, soft cheeses and vegetable-based dishes. Also try it as an aperitif with appetizers and with fish fry.
