The Wine
The Pinot Bianco from the Jacuss winery is produced with 100% Pinot Bianco grapes grown in vineyards owned by the winery that are located in Montina di Torreano in the heart of the eastern hills of Friuli. The terroir and the temperature variations between day and night make this area one of the most suitable for growing grapes in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
THE WINEMAKING
After the strictly manual harvest, the selected grapes are brought to the cellar for winemaking and softly pressed. The fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16 ° – 18 ° C. After decanting, the wine ages on the lees for 20% in French oak barriques and 80% in steel tanks. The wine is assembled and bottled shortly before the new harvest. The bottles rest for a few more months in the cellar before being released on the market.
THE TASTING
Straw yellow with greenish reflections. The aroma is pleasant, with hints reminiscent of bread crust that leave room for fruity notes to close with light scents of noble wood and puffs of sweet spices. Dry but fresh on the palate with a perfect correspondence between aromas and flavour. Good persistence. This Pinot Bianco is an elegant wine.
FOOD PAIRINGS
