THE WINE
The Pinot Bianco of the Russiz Superiore winery is made from 100% Pinot Bianco grapes grown in Capriva del Friuli in the heart of the Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC area. The vineyards are located between 80 and 200 meters above sea level. This variety is cultivated on the Collio since the second half of the 1800s.
THE WINEMAKING
After the manual harvest, the grapes are separated from the stalk and softly pressed; then proceed with cold maceration and subsequent pressing to separate the must from the skins. The must obtained is left to ferment in steel container. The wine is left to rest for about six months on the lees and after assembly and bottling, it ages in the cellar for a few months before being placed on the market.
THE TASTING
Straw yellow with greenish hues. The aromas are intense with fruity notes of lime, kiwi and lemon that intertwine with floral scents like white freesia. Enveloping on the palate, it invites to drink. The taste is balanced and harmonious and manages to express savory and fresh notes. Excellent persistence.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Perfect with even raw fish. Must try with lobster spaghetti.
