The Traminer Aromatico Wine from Valpanera Winery
The Traminer Aromatico wine from Valpanera Winery comes from 100% Traminer grapes, growing in the company’s vineyards near Cortona di Fiumicello, where the Torre stream once flowed. The soils in this area are rich in limestone and primarily consist of silt, sand, and gravel.
This is a fresh and versatile wine and goes well with all menus.
THE WINEMAKING
The grape harvest is done manually in the first half of September. Once in the cellar, winemaking starts with a grape soft pressing. The must undergoes fermentation in steel tanks at a controlled temperature, and the ageing process occurs exclusively in steel. After blending and bottling, the wine rests for several additional months in the cellar before being released to the market.
Tasting the wine by Valpanera
The wine is straw yellow and has an intense, pleasantly aromatic bouquet. It offers floral hints of rose petals, along with notes of tropical fruit and a touch of citrus, finishing with subtle apricot undertones. On the palate, it is well-structured, featuring a nice acidity that encourages sipping. The finish is long and persistent, making it truly excellent.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Traminer Aromatico Valpanera pairs well with fish, shellfish and seafood but also with white meats. Try it with soft cheeses.
