THE WINE
The Pinot Noir of the Zorzettig winery comes from pure Pinot Noir grapes grown in the municipality of Spessa di Cividale in the eastern hills of Friuli. From this vine of French origin, it found the perfect soil and microclimate in the Eastern hills of Friuli for the correct ripening of this elegant grape.
THE WINEMAKING
The harvest is strictly manual, and only the selected grapes are brought to the cellar. Both winemaking and aging get monitored with extreme attention. The wine ages for about ten months in the oak tonneau. Once bottled, the wine rests for a few months in the cellar before being put on the market.
THE TASTING
Ruby-red. The aroma is intense, with pleasant notes of ripe red fruits such as raspberry and strawberry alternating with spicy hints. Dry and velvety on the palate, this pinot noir is very well balanced with a long and persistent finish.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Perfect with roasts and grills. A must-try it with blue cheese.
