THE PRODUCT

The Port Mourant 2001/2019 is a rum with a great aromatic power. It comes from British Guyana, it was distilled in 2001 and bottled in 2019. Aged for 18 years in used Bourbon barrels.

The aroma is extremely warm, with enveloping notes of beeswax. Very mineral with a slight smoky touch. There are also notes of white flour, ripe fruit, cloves and aromatic plants such as gentian, chamomile and kola nut. On the palate the addition of water only seems to make it even more intense and flamboyant, with sensations of black pepper, anise and licorice. Despite the important intensity and dry character, it remains surprisingly round and enveloping.
