THE WINE
The Ramandolo from the Giovanni Dri winery Il Roncat is produced with 100% Verduzzo grapes that grow in the vineyards owned by the estate. We are located at 300-350 meters above sea level in the Ramandolo locality. A unique area rich in history from which this wine takes its name.
THE WINEMAKING
The selected grapes are harvested in mid-October when the ripening is very advanced. The harvest is strictly manual, and once harvested, the grapes are left to dry for a period that varies according to the vintage before proceeding with the winemaking. After the fermentation, the wine ages for 24 months in steel. Bottling follows and rests for a few months in the cellar before being placed on the market.
THE TASTING
Amber in colour. The aroma is rich with pleasant floral hints of lavender and fresh flowers that leave room for sweet citrus and yellow peach notes. Very balanced on the palate, with sweet and savoury notes that integrate well. Long the finish with a pleasant balsamic note.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Perfect on its own at the end of a meal, it goes well with dry pastries and fruit but also with Christmas desserts. A must try with blue cheeses.
