Amazzoni Gin London Dry, the first gin produced by the distillery.
Gin Amazzoni is a London Dry din with a completely new recipe; the distillery added to the classic botanicals new ingredients and, more precisely, cocoa, Brazilian chestnut and water lily; everything is macerated naturally without adding other ingredients and then distilled in a large Pot Still type still, handcrafted entirely in Brazil.
The result is a gin with an original, spicy flavour that has already received important awards, including Best Brazilian London Dry Gin.
The Tasting
Well-balanced Gin Amazzoni is clear with unusual aromas for a gin, like cocoa beans alternating with hints of candied exotic fruit, followed by juniper, pink pepper and slightly smoky puffs. On the palate, organic cocoa beans, maxixe fruit, and cipò cravo give a fresh note, while Brazilian chestnut gives an oily texture and a soft finish.
It is so particular that, to appreciate it, it would be recommended to use it neat, which will allow you to capture all the nuances, but it can really give an extra twist to mixology.
The distillery Amazzoni producing the London Dry Gin and many others.
It is located in La Cachoeira and it was born from an old 18th-century coffee farm and became the first gin-only distillery in Brazil. The genius behind this brand is Italian and is called Arturo Isola, but the company is 100% Brazilian. It is a proudly artisanal, local and independent company that has been able to blend and enhance the gifts of this enchanted land and the spirit of its people. It is a local company in philosophy, ingredients and production cycle.
Why should you try Amazzoni gins? Because in their gins, you will find purity from the water that nourishes the Amazon and gives life to their bottles. An original and surprising recipe with ingredients never used before, like cocoa, Brazilian chestnut, maxixe (a type of watermelon), water lily and cipò cravo (a local root).
You will find gins with character, perhaps against the grain but profoundly Brazilian. This distillery is not afraid to innovate while remaining respectful of centuries of tradition.
