THE WINE
The Pinot Grigio of the Russiz Superiore winery is produced with 100% Pinot Grigio grapes grown in Capriva del Friuli, on the hills of the DOC Collio at an altitude above sea level that varies between 80 and 200 meters where the soil is rich in marls and sandstones.
THE WINEMAKING
After the manual harvest, once in the cellar, the selected grapes are separated from the stalk and cold macerated; a light pressing follows which allows separation from the skins. The must then ferments 85% in steel tanks and the remaining 15% in oak barrels. The wine ages for 8 months on the lees before being assembled and bottled.
THE TASTING
Golden yellow with copper shades. The aroma is fine and elegant, with hints of white fruit such as apple that intertwine with floral hints of broom. On the palate it is balanced, decisive, fresh and harmonious with a perfect correspondence between perfumes and taste.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Excellent fish. It goes well with pasta dishes with light sauces and soft cheeses. Must try with a vegetable omelette.
