The Wine
The Sauvignon from the Vigna Lenuzza winery is produced with 100% Sauvignon grapes grown in the Prepotto area. The winery is certified organic and the owners call themselves “bio in the soul”; The Lenuzza family firmly believes that “The earth does not belong only to us. It must be respected in order to be passed down from generation to generation”
THE WINEMAKING
After the manual harvest, the selected grapes are brought to the cellar for winemaking; one part is destemmed and softly pressed while the other part is subjected to cryomaceration at 4 ° C for about 36 hours. The must ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16 ° C for a period of 30-40 days. The aging continues in steel. The wine is then bottled in the month of February following the harvest.
THE TASTING
Brilliant straw yellow with evident greenish reflections. The aroma is very fragrant with pleasant hints of ripe fruit like melon which alternate with notes of sage and elderberry flowers. Dry and enveloping on the palate with a long and excellent aromatic persistence.
