THE WINE
The Sauvignon Sudigiri (sudigiri is is misspelled; the correct spelling is “su di giri” and means “high”) of the Villa Job winery is produced with 100% Sauvignon grapes grown in the vineyards owned by the winery, which are located in the area of Pozzuolo del Friuli in Friuli Venezia Giulia, 90 meters above sea level; here the soil is rich in marl, clay and silt. The winery follows the dictates of organic agriculture with the integration of some biodynamic cultivation practices. In short, a 100% natural wine!
THE WINEMAKING
The harvest is manual and once in the cellar only the selected grapes are wine made. The winemaking takes place in steel tanks, with the sole use of indigenous yeasts. The must remains in contact with its skins for about 2 days. The wine then ages for 6 months in concrete tanks and for 3 months in barrique. After assembly and bottling without filtering, the bottles rest for 2 months in the cellar before being placed on the market.
THE TASTING
Brilliant straw yellow color. The nose is elegant with pleasant hints of elderberry and nettle, which leave room for delicate fruity aromas of grapefruit and passion fruit, and slightly aromatic notes. Delicate on the palate, harmonious with a beautiful structure and a perfect correspondence between aromas and flavor. Persistence is also good. This Sudigiri is certainly the emblem of elegance.
