The Chardonnay Wine from Valpanera Winery
The Chardonnay wine from Valpanera Winery comes from 100% Chardonnay grapes cultivated in the estate’s vineyards near Cortona di Fiumicello, where the Torre stream once flowed. The soil here is rich in limestone and primarily composed of silt, sand, and gravel.
This wine is complex and velvety, with a fresh character that makes it ideal for any occasion with family or friends.
THE WINEMAKING
The grape harvest is conducted entirely by hand during the first half of September. The must undergoes fermentation in steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The wine refines in steel on the fine lees; after blending and bottling, the wine rests for a few additional months in the cellar before being released to the market.
Tasting the wine by Valpanera
Straw-yellow with pleasant aromas on the nose, featuring notes of citrus that mingle with hints of tropical fruit, finishing with subtle hints of hazelnut. On the palate, it is fresh and mineral, well-structured, with flavours that correspond beautifully to the aromas. The finish is long and persistent.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Valpanera Chardonnay pairs wonderfully with fish and white meats. It is particularly delightful when enjoyed with grilled fish.
