THE WINE
Barbaresco Sorì San Lorenzo is another masterpiece of the Gaja winery. It is a pure Nebbiolo whose grapes are grown in the Sorì San Lorenzo cru from which it takes its name. It is a unique wine that can remain in the cellar for a very long time, certainly over 20 years. Tasting this nectar will be an unforgettable experience for those who love red wine. Undoubtedly one of the most essential and well-known wines in Italian oenology.
THE WINEMAKING
The grapes are carefully selected during the strictly manual harvest. The peculiarity of this wine is the double refinement. In fact, after fermentation, the wine ages for 12 months in French oak barriques and a further 12 months in large barrels of precious wood. Once bottled, it rests in the cellar for a few more months before being placed on the market.
THE TASTING
Intense and brilliant garnet red. The aroma is a continuous discovery. You can perceive the red fruit, the spices that alternate with the aromatic herbs, the leather, and the vanilla… in short, the longer it stays in the glass, the more you can enjoy the delightful nuances of perfumes. This wine is warm on the palate, with an excellent body, perfectly balanced, charming freshness that invites you to drink and a long, very persistent finish.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Perfect with red meats, game and hard cheeses. Due to its excellent quality, we suggest it as a meditation wine to sip in front of the fireplace.
Wine is purchased directly from the producer and stored in cold rooms.
