THE WINE
The Grovis sparkling Ribolla Gialla from the Alturis winery is produced with Ribolla Gialla grapes grown in the vineyards owned by the winery, which are between the plains and hills near Cividale del Friuli in Friuli Venezia Giulia. A wine that offers a refined experience represents the winery that produces it: a beautiful discovery.
THE WINEMAKING
The harvest of the grapes is strictly manual and takes place in September. The grapes are pressed and destemmed and then softly pressed. The fermentation takes place in steel at a controlled temperature. The wine ages for a few months in steel before being moved to an autoclave for secondary fermentation, where it rests for about six months with periodic riddling. The sparkling wine is then bottled and left to rest for a few months in the cellar before being placed on the market.
THE TASTING
Straw yellow with greenish reflections and a fine and persistent perlage. The aroma is fragrant with pleasant floral scents where hawthorn prevails, which alternate with fruity notes of green apple on a delicate background of yeasts. This Ribolla from the Alturis winery is round on the palate slightly aromatic, with a pleasant acid note and a long finish.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Perfect as an aperitif, it goes well with any meal if the menu is based on fish and/or white meats. Try it with seafood.
