DESCRIPTION

Tasting kit: each wine has its characteristics and nuances. Even wines made from the same grapes differ on the palate because many factors influence wine. Climatic factors include the vineyard’s location, the climate, the amount of rain fallen or drought and so on. Then, each winery works differently, with different winemaking times, ageing times, etc.

This is why we thought of creating tasting packages that allow you to discover these differences and, why not, will help you understand which is your favourite wine.

This is the Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, an indigenous red wine from Friuli Venezia Giulia.

THE WINE

Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso IGP – Riserva Rio Falcone Bio – 2021 – Sara & Sara

Intense red tending to purplish. The aroma is elegant with pleasant hints of red fruits, among which the blackberry prevails, which intertwines well with herbaceous notes to close with spicy hints and puffs of liquorice. Robust and full-bodied on the palate, the tannin is present but is silky and well-integrated. Good correspondence between aromas and taste. Persistent. additional info here

Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso DOC – Ostinato – 2019 – Spolert

Intense and brilliant ruby red with violet reflections, the aroma is rich and spicy with fruity notes of plum and blackberry that leave room for balsamic hints of cinchona and liquorice. A velvety wine on the palate, it is persistent and endowed with elegant and well-smoothed tannins from the amphorae. additional info here

Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso Bio – Colli Orientali – 2021 – Antico Broilo

Intense ruby red with some violet reflections. The aroma is elegant with hints of ripe red fruit, wild blackberry, plum, violet that leave room for herbaceous notes. Warm and savory on the palate; a great refined and elegant wine with velvety tannins. Excellent correspondence between taste and aromas. Persistence is also good. additional info here
