DESCRIPTION
Tasting kit: each wine has its characteristics and nuances. Even wines made from the same grapes differ on the palate because many factors influence wine. Climatic factors include the vineyard’s location, the climate, the amount of rain fallen or drought and so on. Then, each winery works differently, with different winemaking times, ageing times, etc.
This is why we thought of creating tasting packages that allow you to discover these differences and, why not, will help you understand which is your favourite wine.
It can also be a fun-tasting night to do with friends.
This kit is dedicated to Monica’s favourite wines. She obviously couldn’t choose just three wines, so she decided to make volumes 1 and 2, but she is convinced to add volume 3 soon, too! After all, it can be challenging to choose…
Monica told us: “For this first kit, I chose wines that I immediately loved very much at the first tasting and which are never lacking in my house. I am a woman of reds and bubbles but when I tasted Paolo Caccese’s Malvasia it was love at first sip. It is a fresh, rounded and intense wine. For the sparking wine I went to Germany with the Cremant from the Heinrichshof winery in the Moselle valley; who could have imagined that in the country where everyone drinks beer a Cremant like this is produced? And my third wine is a Pinot Noir from the Chateau de Laborde winery in Burgundy. I don’t think I need add anything else about this last wine ….”
Taste this kit and let us know if Monica’s tastes meet yours!
THE WINE
Malvasia DOC – 2022 – Paolo Caccese
Deep yellow, the aroma is pleasant and intense with hints of white pepper that intertwine with notes of green apple and tropical fruit. Dry and round on the palate. A harmonious wine with a good correspondence between the aromas and the taste. Good persistence. additional info here
Cremant – brut – 2019 – Heinrichshof
Straw yellow with a fine and persistent perlage; the aroma is delightful with hints of apple, which leave room for citrus notes to close with hints of bread crust. Very fresh on the palate, well structured with good sapidity and a long and bitter finish that makes you want to drink more. additional info here
Bourgogne Côte d’Or – Au Prunier – 2020 – Château de Laborde
Intense ruby red. The aroma is broad and elegant, with pleasant notes of black fruits such as blackberry and wild strawberries that leave spicy hints. Intense and full-bodied on the palate, this wine has a perfect structure; tannins are present but well balanced. The finish is long and persistent, and pleasantly fruity. additional info here
