THE WINE
The Teroldego Rotaliano of the Castel Firmian winery is produced with 100%Teroldego grapes grown in Piana Rotaliana, an area particularly suited to the cultivation of grapes in Trentino.
THE WINEMAKING
The harvest of the grapes is strictly manual and only the selected ones are taken to the cellar for winemaking which begins with the maceration in contact with the skins which lasts 5-7 days. Fermentation takes place in steel at a controlled temperature of 25°- 27°C. The wine then ages for a few months in oak barrels. Bottling follows and the wine then rests for a few months in the cellar before being placed on the market.
THE TASTING
Ruby red with violet reflections. The aroma is elegant with notes of ripe red fruit which alternate with hints of sweet spices due to the passage in wood. Balanced and full-bodied on the palate; the tannins are present but well polished. Excellent persistence
FOOD PAIRINGS
It goes well with red meat but also with hard cheeses. Must try with your barbecue
