THE WINE
The Verduzzo DOC from the Zorzettig winery is produced with 100% Verduzzo grapes grown in the municipality of Spessa di Cividale in the eastern hills of Friuli. We are talking about a very ancient and fascinating native vine which expresses its best on these hills.
THE WINEMAKING
The harvest is strictly manual, and the bunches are harvested only after drying on the vine for at least 15 days. This technique is used to allow the concentration of sugars in the berries. In the cellar, both the winemaking and the ageing are monitored with extreme attention. Once bottled, the wine rests for a few months in the cellar before being put on the market.
THE TASTING
Intense golden yellow. The aroma is elegant, with pleasant notes of acacia flowers that alternate well with hints of vanilla. Very well balanced on the palate. Fresh and slightly tannic, with a perfect correspondence between aromas and flavour.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Ideal with both dry pastries and hard cheeses. A must try with gorgonzola.
