THE WINE
The Vermentino “Labianca” from the Lunae Bosoni winery is made from Vermentino grapes and a small quantity of Malvasia grapes. The winery called this label “Labianca” (the white) to remember the Marble mountains that outline the landscape of the plain of the city of Luni. It is a delicate and fresh wine that identifies the two souls of the vines, Vermentino which is the symbolic vineyard of Liguria and Malvasia. This is the perfect wine for all your summer evenings with friends.
THE WINEMAKING
The harvest is strictly manual; once in the cellar the two varieties are wine made separately; after soft pressing the fermentation takes place in stainless steel; the refinement on the fine lees takes place in steel and lasts about four months. After blending and bottling, the wine rests for a few more months in the cellar before being released on the market.
THE TASTING
Straw yellow with greenish reflections. The aroma is pleasant, with notes of tropical fruits where mango and maracuja prevail, which leave room for hints of mint and spices such as white pepper, closing with puffs of sage and Mediterranean scrub. Soft and enveloping on the palate; fresh and well balanced on the palate with a perfect savory note and an excellent correspondence between aromas and flavor. Persistence is also amazing.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Perfect as an aperitif, it goes well with fish, including smoked fish, and eggs. Try it with pasta with vegetable sauces.
