Anniversary AOC Box from the Saint James Distillery

The Anniversary AOC Box includes 10 rums that represent the best vintages of the AOC (Appellation d’origine contrôlée, or controlled designation of origin) from Martinique.
This selection has been created to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the AOC of Martinique, which establishes the standards for producing the finest rum on the island. The collection features rums from 1998 to 2015.

The Rums

Rhum Saint James 2015
Intense and spicy, this rum has notes of cinnamon intertwined with toasted dried fruit; it has great maturation potential, boasting a long and persistent finish that recalls candied peels.
Rhum Saint James 2014
This rum offers aromas of fig and date, alternating with bitter cocoa and oak. It excels with time and, to fully open up and soften, it needs time.
Rhum Saint James 2012
An intense, woody, and spicy rum, it features ripe fruit and dates notes, hints of coffee, candied citrus peel, and tobacco.
Rhum Saint James 2010
The 2010 vintage is intense and refined, with candied bergamot notes mingling with plum and subtle hints of coffee and cinnamon.
Rhum Saint James 2008
This rum is subtle and refined, with milk chocolate, tobacco, and dried flower flavours.
Rhum Saint James 2006
Tasting the 2006 reveals a well-balanced sweetness with notes of dried fruit and cinnamon alongside hints of almond paste.
Rhum Saint James 2004
The 2004 vintage also offers a sweet palate but adds woody notes, including liquorice and toasted walnut, finishing with an almost tannic tightness.
Rhum Saint James 2002
Hints of passion fruit blend with notes of walnut kernels and nutmeg, leading to scents of blond tobacco and candied fruit. It presents a very classic rum experience.
Rhum Saint James 2000
This vintage features cinnamon and hints of cigars and sandalwood, complemented by dark notes of coffee and chocolate. The correspondence between the aromas and flavours is nearly perfect.

Finally, the 1998 vintage is sweet, woody, and spicy, combining coffee notes with hints of dried fruit and nutmeg.

THE SAINT JAMES DISTILLERY

Founded in 1765, the Saint James Distillery produced the first rum in Martinique and subsequently exported to the United States. In 1885, the distillery released its first vintage rum, with some bottles still preserved in the facility today. The company celebrated its 250th anniversary in 2015 with memorable events. In 2019, the distillery opened to the public, allowing adults to visit and taste the rums.
