THE WINE
The Gewürztraminer Auratus of the Ritterhof winery is produced with 100% Gewürztraminer grapes grown in the vineyards owned by the winery. Vineyards located in Tramin on the South Tyrolean Wine Route. Here the vines grow between 320 and 400 meters above sea level and the soil is rich in clay and sand.
The harvest takes place between the end of September and mid-October when the grapes have reached optimal ripeness. The bunches are selected manually and only the best are brought to the cellar for winemaking. Once in the cellar, the grapes are subjected to a cold maceration of about seven hours before moving on to pressing. This is followed by fermentation in steel at a controlled temperature of 20 ° C and aging on yeasts. After bottling, the wine rests for a few months in the cellar before being placed on the market.
Bright golden yellow; the aroma is intense with pleasant floral hints of roses and fruity ones of lychees that leave room for delicate spicy notes of cinnamon and carnation. On the palate it is full-bodied with a juicy and elegant structure. The correspondence between aromas and flavor is also good. Persistent
Perfect as an aperitif, it goes well with fish and lobsters. Try it with a spicy cuisine like the Indian.
