The Product
Linkwood is a fruity and floral whisky produced in Speyside in the Morayshire region of the Scottish Highlands. Distilled in 2011, it was then aged for nine years in American oak barrels where bourbon had previously aged. It was then refined for the last two years in barrels previously used to age the lovely Patricius wine from Tokaj. Wilson & Morgan bottled it cold, without filtration, and without the addition of colourings in 2022. The number of bottles available is limited.
This is a succulent whisky with pleasant hints of sultanas, dates, apricots, and peaches, which leave room for citrus sensations that avoid excess sweetness. All these aromas are also perceived very well on the palate. It is a well-balanced whiskey, and the acidity of the Patricius di Tok wine present in the barrels allows for a very appetizing and peppery flavour.
Thanks to its harmony, this whiskey is loved by all liqueur lovers and not just by connoisseurs.
We recommend you enjoy it straight, relaxing, and, why not, with a good book.
Wilson & Morgan
Wilson & Morgan has been producing the best Scottish single malts since 1992. This company conducts meticulous research and selection work to offer an audience of connoisseurs whiskies rich in personality and a typically Scottish “artisanal” taste. Their trademark lies in the ability to select the best single malts from the different distilleries and in the desire to wait for perfect ageing to be achieved, but also in choosing the best barrels to refine their single malts by exploiting the essences hidden between the boards of the barrels themselves like the wines, or other liqueurs.
