The wine Vermentino di Gallura from the Surrau winery
The Vermentino di Gallura Branu from Surrau winery comes from 100% Vermentino grapes cultivated in their vineyards, situated on sandy soils resulting from granite disintegration.
THE WINEMAKING
After destemming, the must remains in contact with the skins for 12-24 hours at a temperature below 10 ° C. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature between 16°C and 18°C. The wine is aged on its yeasts in these tanks for at least six months. After blending and bottling, the wine rests in the cellar for at least six months before being released to the market.
Tasting the Vermentino
Straw yellow with golden reflections. The aroma is intense with notes of ripe fruit that alternate with hints of Mediterranean scrub. Soft on the palate, the taste is long, ample and persistent with a good correspondence between aromas and flavor.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Perfect with fish and white meats but also with blue and medium-hard cheeses. Must try with fish soup.
