The Winery

Rocca Sveva winery is located in the picturesque town of Soave near Verona in Veneto; it is a very suggestive winery because it is dug into the mountain of the Soave Castle.

The winery includes 100 hectares of vineyards, all located in the hills around Soave; thanks to the soil and climate, the best grapes are produced. This territory is so unique that the FAO has recognized the vineyards of Soave as the first historical rural landscape in Italy, an agricultural heritage of global importance.

Three words characterize the winery: excellence, authority and territory. The excellence of the wines of the Veronese tradition, the history and the territory make this winery a point of reference for the wine world in Veneto.

The wines

The winery wine list is split into three main lines: the value of time or the great red wines or the Amarone, Ripasso and Valpolicella Classico. The typicality or soave wine, a vineyard that the Rocca Sveva winery interprets in different labels and the contemporary wines or the blends linked to the experiment and innovation. We cannot forget the classic method sparkling wines and the Recioto. They are all elegant and distinctive wines: between history, suggestion and reality and you must taste them all.

The green terrace and the botanical garden

Visiting the winery, in addition to tasting award-winning wines, you can take a walk on the green terrace that was originally the park of the villa where Rocca Sveva stands and is now also used for parties. In addition to the green terrace, you can also visit the botanical garden that has more than 150 tree species, all catalogued. The ancient botanical garden borders what Rocca Sveva calls the experimental vineyard, where the winery’s agronomists carry out studies and innovations on native varieties. We recommend that you also take a walk in the vineyard where you can see the castle walls and the medieval village of Soave.
