The history of the winery Russiz Superiore is linked to the Felluga family, whose love for wine began in the second half of the nineteenth century when Marco, Marco’s great-grandfather, opened an inn and began to buy and sell Refosco and Malvasia in Isola d’Istria where resided and that at the time was part of Italy. Marco, Michele’s son, decides to continue his father’s business but in addition to wines, he also decides to buy vineyards. After the Second World War, the head of the family was Giovanni Felluga (the other son of Michele), father of Livio and Marco, who after having been forced to abandon Istria because it became part of Yugoslavia, decided to settle in the nearby Collio. From this decision, the story of Felliuga is born … Marco and Livio decide to separate and found several companies.

Marco who had already created the Marco Felluga company, in 1967 decided to buy an ancient property in the hills of Capriva del Friuli, already known in the past for the production of excellent wines and founded Russiz Superiore. Today the winery has 100 hectares of surface, of which 50 are vineyards and has more than 700 years of history. Here are born some of the most representative white wines of the territory.

The balance with which Marco managed to use innovation and tradition, have made his company a point of reference for the whole territory. Today, the company is led by his son Roberto, who represents the fifth generation of the Fellugas with the same passion and love as his ancestors.
