The winery

Soffio sulle Isole is the pure poetry of the senses. We are on the island of Vulcano in the Aeolian archipelago, an enchanting panorama. The winery has six hectares of vineyards in the “Piano” area, a plain at 420 meters above sea level; the soil is fertile, rich in minerals and iron, perfect for growing grapes. Soffio sulle Isole grew two vines, one white and one red; for the white, it opted for Malvasia, while for the red, it chose Ciliegiolo, a native vine. Subsequently, the winery expanded, planted an olive grove, and bred ten families of Sicilian Black Bees. So, in addition to wine, they also produce oil and honey.

Giuseppe Livio

The owner of this marvel is Giuseppe Livio, born in 1975 in Catania, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Catania is an all-round artist; in addition to drawing, Giuseppe works with wood and stone. His career started in Sicily but then expanded throughout the world, from Salzburg to Turkey, from Budapest to Paris, but he always felt the call of his beloved Sicily; Giuseppe has always frequented and loved the island of Vulcano; he defines it as a magical land. Today Giuseppe gives birth to his beloved wine that he sips while admiring the beauty of the nature surrounding him. He designed the labels of the Malvasia, Ciliegiolo, and rosé wines.
