The Winery
I will tell you immediately that the Villa Vitas winery has produced wine for four generations. It was back in 1937 that the founder of Villa Vitas, Romano Vitas, decided to buy the estate and start this fantastic journey that has lasted for over one hundred years.
Villa Vitas winery is located in Strassoldo, a fraction of Cervignano del Friuli’s municipality in the Udine province in Friuli Venezia Giulia. The company is based in the heart of a centuries-old park in the Friuli Aquileia DOC area; the vineyards are on predominantly clayey soil,
Thanks to the proximity of the sea and the natural barrier created by the mountains, the winery enjoys a perfect microclimate for growing top-quality grapes, which translates into fine wines.
The Philosophy
Four generations of winemakers make it clear that this family continues to produce wine by pursuing innovative ideas that allow them to remain at the top levels in the market but always taking into account passion and heart. Thanks to this passion and love for the environment, the Villa Vitas winery has also decided to use integrated production techniques by adhering to the SQNPI (National Quality System for Integrated Production). This production system guarantees a reduced environmental impact.
