History

Azienda Agricola Conte Loredan Gasparini covers 60 hectares of vineyards in Venegazzù di Volpago del Montello, on the slopes of the homonymous riviera, in the heart of the Alta Marca Trevigiana. It is an area historically suited to the production of fine wines. In 1590 the historian Bonifacio wove his praises in his “Historia Trevigiana”. It is a territory rich in clay soils rich in iron and mineral components. After the Second World War when, at the end of the 40s, Count Piero Loredan sensed that something extraordinary was possible in the Venegazzù area: a wine of the highest quality. Thus in 1951 the first “Rosso di Venegazzù” was born.

The total area of the Montello is about 6,000 hectares divided into five municipalities.
