Latium Morini Company

It was the year 1992 when the Morini family bought a historic farmhouse from the early 1900s. This splendid estate is surrounded by beautiful vineyards in the heart of the Val di Mezzane. It is here that they decided to build a new building to be used as a cellar for vinification and maturation. Now more than forty years have passed and this small, unpretentious farm, but supported by so much enthusiasm, has evolved and grown. Time ago the wine production was given to the local Social Cellar. Today, in seven brothers and cousins, they have inherited an activity from which they have been fully involved and committed, reaching considerable dimensions. The love for the country life and the passion for the cultivation of the vine, in primis, have decreed the birth of Ilatium.

The company

Today the modern and functional building allows the vinification of up to 3000 quintals of wine thanks to the 5 modern fermentini of 150 quintals that are completely automatic, which reduce to a minimum the oxidation of the future wine. The approximately 30 vats, of various sizes, all thermally regulated, guarantee an adequate storage of the wine waiting to be bottled. The whole area below 6 meters deep is dedicated to the maturation and rest of the wine. Where 600 oak barrels come from various geographical areas, keep and bring wine to maturity.
