Names after the Borough of Soave (near Verona, in veneto – North east of Italy) where it is produced, the Soave is a refined white wine, recognized as the first Italian “Typical wine” in 1931 is now well known at world wide level. We are talking about a wine made by 79% with the Garganega grape. A variety that has the peculiarity of ripening later than the other grapes; in fact, the harvest takes place in the middle of October. If you happen to pass by Soave at that time make sure to stop, the views are amazing and must be seen… The vineyards are amazing with yellow leaves and red-auburn grapes.., pictures are a must!
the terroir is the great protagonist in the wine refinement; we are talking about a land of ancient origins, a mixture of limestone and volcanic tuff layers where the Garganega find ideal conditions for growing and magnifying its minerality and finesse.
Tasting notes
Intense golden straw yellow; the aromas are typical and immediately recognizable; we start with elegant notes of white flowers to continue with fruity hints of peach, finishing with scents of almond As anticipated the palate is defined by the terroir; it enhances the minerality and the freshness and make this wine, very persistent, with the right acidity ending with the typical delicate hint of bitter almond.
