Italy in Rose 2018

Given the great success of the 10th edition: over 8,000 visitors will be held again, in the castle of Moniga del Garda, the eleventh edition of Italy in Rose. The most important Italian event dedicated to rosé and claret wines.

The event will take place on Friday 1, Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 June 2018 from 5 PM to 11 PM, with end of access to the public at 10 PM.

The location

The rosé wines available for tasting will be more than 170. The dedicated area will be that of the park’s gardens: a serene and suggestive location.

The castle of Moniga is the typical defensive construction. It goes back more or less to the XIV-XV centuries. It is the place where Chiaretto was “codified” in 1896, by the Italian Senator Pompeo Molmenti.

It also offers a magnificent view from the Brescia side of Lake Garda.

The program

In the terraces of the gardens will be set up pavilions for tastings. The wines of the various participating companies will be arranged according to the geographic areas. Visitors will thus have the opportunity to make a sort of journey in Italian enology “in pink”.

As in past editions, the wines of the Provencal area will also be present. This allows to deepen and compare with the foreign areas interested in the production of wine.

The program includes guided tastings, thanks to expert sommeliers. A food area will also be present during all the days of the event. There will be typical dishes of the Alto Garda and perfect snacks to pair with wines to taste.

The international guest of this edition will be Elizabeth Gabay. A journalist and writer from America. She is the author of the recent book “Rosé: Understanding The Pink Wine Revolution”. In fact, it will conduct an interesting master class on rosés on Saturday 2 June at 10 am at Villa Galnica in Puegnago del Garda. He will also talk about his research on the world rosé market in the conference in Italy in Rosa, which will follow at 11.

If you are passionate about wines or rosés, or want to discover this type of wine, you can not miss this event!

Good day!
